Founded in 1985 as a subsidiary of Peterborough Carpet Land, Whelan's Flooring Centre has grown to become the premier retail flooring store in Peterborough and the Kawarthas.

In 2009 we won the Peterborough Business Excellence Award for commercial restoration/renovation for the complete transformation we made to our Chemong Road location. The showroom is absolutely stunning, matched equally by the new exterior of the building. In the last few years Whelan's has also picked up several Examiner Reader's Choice Awards and the inaugural Peterborough This Week's Readers Select Award for the best flooring store.
